1. About Afrobata
Afrobata is a classifieds marketplace and business-management platform operated by AfroTech Laboratories (“Afrobata”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
Afrobata helps users post, discover, manage, promote, buy, sell, rent out products, offer services, find work, hire workers, and manage store activity.

2. Acceptance of These Terms
By creating an account, posting content, using Afrobata Store Suite, browsing listings, contacting another user, or using any Afrobata feature, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Community Rules, and any feature-specific terms shown to you.
Do not use Afrobata if you do not agree to these Terms.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into agreements.
You are responsible for:
Keeping your account information accurate
Protecting your password and login details
All activity carried out through your account
Using Afrobata lawfully and respectfully
We may request phone, identity, business, or other verification where necessary for safety, fraud prevention, payment eligibility, or feature access.
4. What Afrobata Does
Afrobata provides a platform for users to connect.
Afrobata is not:
The buyer, seller, renter, provider, employer, worker, or service provider
A guarantor of any user, listing, item, service, job, rental, or payment
A courier, insurer, legal adviser, mechanic, surveyor, or property verifier
Responsible for agreements made outside Afrobata
Users are responsible for inspecting items, confirming ownership, checking condition, agreeing terms, and making decisions before paying or entering into an arrangement.
5. Listings and User Content
You may post listings for eligible products, rentals, jobs, job-seeking profiles, gigs, and services.
You must ensure that your listings are:
Accurate
Lawful
Not misleading
Properly categorised
Supported by genuine images and information
Free from prohibited content or deceptive claims
By posting content, you give Afrobata a non-exclusive right to host, display, process, promote, and distribute that content as needed to operate and improve the platform.
You remain responsible for the content you upload.
6. Moderation and Listing Status
Afrobata may review, approve, reject, pause, remove, edit for formatting, or request changes to listings.
Paid visibility plans may improve listing exposure or review priority where stated, but they do not guarantee approval and do not bypass Afrobata safety rules.
We may remove listings that are misleading, prohibited, fraudulent, duplicated, unsafe, or inconsistent with our policies.
7. Payments and Skroda Protection
Skroda Protection may be available only for eligible product-for-sale listings.
Where Skroda is used:
Skroda controls payment, escrow, settlement, and dispute processes
Separate Skroda terms and policies apply
Afrobata may display transaction status relevant to the listing
Skroda Protection is not currently available for rental listings.
Rental commitment fees, deposits, booking payments, and return arrangements are handled directly between renter and provider unless Afrobata clearly introduces a supported payment feature in the future.
8. Rentals and Booking Records
Afrobata may provide rental listings and lightweight booking-management tools.
Rental providers may manage:
Availability
Rental requests
Booking status
Commitment-fee status
Provider notes
Renter-visible notes
Afrobata does not collect, verify, guarantee, insure, refund, or protect rental commitment fees at this stage.
Users should confirm availability, inspect rental items, agree terms clearly, and avoid sending money before understanding the arrangement.
9. Store Suite and Business Tools
Afrobata Store Suite may provide tools for products, sales, stock, expenses, staff, suppliers, procurement, pre-orders, reports, and related business activity.
Access to certain features may depend on:
Your store role
Your selected package
Feature availability
Platform rollout settings
Store owners are responsible for their staff access, business records, product information, supplier information, customer records, and use of Store Suite.
10. Packages, Promotions, and Paid Features
Afrobata may offer visibility plans, store packages, promotions, credits, discounts, trials, or feature access grants.
Paid features activate only after verified payment confirmation or an authorised Afrobata grant.
Afrobata may change package pricing, benefits, or availability for future purchases. Existing active subscriptions will be handled according to the package terms applicable when purchased.
Paid plans do not guarantee sales, buyer contacts, ranking position, approval, or business results.
11. Reviews and Feedback
Public reviews must be based on eligible verified activity, such as completed protected sales, completed Afrobata orders, completed store sales, or completed rental bookings where supported.
Users must not:
Post fake reviews
Review themselves or their own store
Offer rewards for positive reviews
Harass, threaten, or reveal private information
Use reviews to extort another user
Sellers may reply to reviews but cannot edit, remove, or suppress valid buyer feedback.
Afrobata may moderate, hide, remove, or investigate reviews that violate policy.
12. Prohibited Use
You must not use Afrobata for:
Illegal goods or services
Stolen, counterfeit, or fraudulently obtained items
Weapons, ammunition, explosives, or prohibited chemicals
Fraud, scams, phishing, impersonation, or misleading offers
Human trafficking, forced labour, sexual exploitation, or child exploitation
Unlawful jobs or recruitment-fee scams
Harassment, hate speech, threats, or abuse
Personal-data misuse
Spam, fake reviews, or manipulation of listings
Any activity that violates Ghanaian law or third-party rights
We may suspend or terminate accounts, remove content, restrict features, or cooperate with lawful authorities where necessary.
13. Contact and Safety
Afrobata provides chat, call, WhatsApp, and other contact tools to help users connect.
You are responsible for using caution when meeting, paying, sharing information, or agreeing to terms with another user.
Do not share:
Passwords
OTP codes
Bank or mobile-money credentials
Identity-document numbers
Unnecessary private information
Afrobata is not responsible for conversations, payments, or arrangements that take place outside supported Afrobata or Skroda workflows.
14. Privacy
Afrobata handles personal data according to its Privacy Policy.
By using Afrobata, you understand that public listings, store profiles, reviews, and selected contact details may be visible to other users and, where applicable, search engines.
15. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account where we reasonably believe that you have:
Breached these Terms
Provided false or misleading information
Created safety, fraud, legal, or reputational risk
Misused paid features, reviews, contact tools, or Store Suite
Suspension or termination does not remove responsibilities that arose before account closure.
16. No Warranty and Limitation of Responsibility
Afrobata is provided on an “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee that:
Listings are accurate, safe, genuine, or available
Users will complete transactions
Users will pay, deliver, return, or perform as promised
The platform will always be uninterrupted or error-free
Any listing, package, promotion, or feature will produce a specific result
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Afrobata is not liable for losses arising from another user’s conduct, off-platform payments, external contact channels, rental arrangements, or decisions made based on marketplace information.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as Afrobata grows or laws and features change.
For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice through Afrobata, email, or another appropriate channel.
Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms means you accept the revised Terms.
18. Governing Law and Contact
The laws of the Republic of Ghana govern these Terms.
